Ever since the announcement of a Fantastic Four movie hit the internet, two main villains have dominated fans’ imaginations as potential universe-threatening adversaries – Galactus and Doctor Doom. Naturally, speculations have been rife about which actor could perfectly fit these roles. While Marvel hasn’t officially confirmed anything, fans believe the studio is leaning towards Javier Bardem, recently seen on Dune 2, to portray Galactus.

In a recent podcast interview for The Hot Mic on YouTube, the trusted insider scooper, Jeff Sneider, also doubled down on the rumors, stating,

“We are standing by our Javier Bardem prediction for Galactus.”

Months of speculation swirled around the casting of Pedro Pascal as Mister Fantastic and Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm. And to everyone’s delight, these rumors proved to be absolutely accurate, with additional excitement following the announcement of Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm, rounding off the cast. Thus, fans are hopeful that this time around, they’ll hit the ball out of the ballpark as well. Only time will tell how accurate these hopes turn out to be.

The much-anticipated MCU rendition of the Fantastic Four is officially in the works, and rumors strongly suggest that Galactus will take center stage as the main villain in the movie. Making his debut in Fantastic Four #48 in 1966, Galactus has been a recurring figure in the Marvel universe and is quite a popular one at that, often portrayed as a tough enemy with occasional shades of alliance sprinkled all over, making it impossible to hate him all the way.
