Jacksonville Jaguars general manager Trent Baalke broke two things during his press conference with reporters: the internet and some wind.

Baalke is entering his fourth season as the Jacksonville Jaguars’ GM, a position he took over in 2021 following David Caldwell’s firing. Though the Jags finished above .500 (9-8) for the second straight year, it wasn’t enough to lock down another playoff berth.

A pivotal draft awaits Baalke, who could be fighting for his job along with head coach Doug Pederson in 2024. A week before the draft, Baalke found a peculiar way to make headlines while speaking to reporters.

In the clip below, you can hear Baalke passing gas during his presser. The 60-year-old even shows some good manners by excusing himself:

As you would have guessed, Baalke’s *accident* sent social media into hysterical laughter:

You’re excused, Mr. Baalke.

The Jaguars hold the No. 17 selection in the 2024 NFL Draft, though they may look to trade out of that spot. Jacksonville held the No. 24 pick last year but dealt it to the New York Giants and eventually moved down to the No. 27 spot after making another trade with the Buffalo Bills.

Jacksonville Jaguars Have Had A Busy Offseason

The Jacksonville Jaguars have been one of the busiest teams since free agency opened last week, signing wide receiver Gabe Davis, defensive lineman Arik Armstead, safety Darnell Savage, center Mitch Morse, cornerback Ronald Darby and receiver/return man Devin Duvernay.

Losing star wide receiver Calvin Ridley and defensive backs Rayshawn Jenkins and Darious Williams hurts, no doubt. But Baalke did an excellent job shoring up key roster needs without spending more than $43.5 million (Armstead) on a single player.

With the 2024 NFL Draft right around the corner, Baalke and company are in great position to add more star power to an ultra-talented team that should bounce back following a miserable 2024 second-half unraveling.
