Revealing who he wants to see as Loki’s opponent, Tom Hiddleston addressed all the characters that are gradually becoming a part of the MCU. Speaking outside of the original MCU characters, Hiddleston noted how the X-Men are slowly venturing into the cinematic universe as Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine did with Deadpool 3. Further, he addressed his old friend Charlie Cox’s character Daredevil, who appeared in MCU via Tom Holland’s Spider-Man movie and is also set to have his own standalone MCU show.

Soon, Marvel announced their decision to work on relaunching Cox’s Daredevil as a part of the MCU with Daredevil: Born Again.

According to Collider, the character’s continuation in Daredevil: Born Again will reportedly arrive with a total of eighteen episodes and will follow the 1986 comic book run from Marvel by the same name. The show will once again spot Charlie Cox in the lead role as Matt Murdock, aka Daredevil, alongside Vincent D’Onofrio’s return as Wilson “Kingpin” Fisk. Jon Bernthal, as Frank Castle, aka The Punisher, is also set to appear in the upcoming show.

Although the plot of the show has been successfully kept under wraps, it was previously rumored that Daredevil: Born Again will follow the events mentioned in Marvel’s Devil’s Reign. But with a lack of confirmation as such, media outlets could only verify that the upcoming show will pick up right where we last saw Daredevil in Netflix’s version.

Daredevil: Born Again is scheduled to premiere on Disney+ in 2025.
