The signs that Stefon Diggs and Buffalo Bills’ relationship was fractured concluded with the wide receiver being traded to the Houston Texans. The Bills will receive a 2025 second-round pick (via the Minnesota Vikings) in exchange for Stefon Diggs, a 2024 sixth-round pick and a 2025 fifth-round pick.

Stefon Diggs has never been shy about speaking his mind, especially on X, formerly Twitter.

One day before we found out about this trade, one fan took a swipe at him on the social media site and he fired back with a cryptic comment as he presumably took a shot at quarterback Josh Allen.

The situation began when Robert Griffin III posted a video captioned, “is Stefon Diggs essential to Josh Allen’s success?” And Griffin III’s answer was clear: “He is.”

One fan responded, giving Diggs credit for his skills, but also said that Allen doesn’t necessarily need him.

Does Josh benefit from having a top-tier receiver, yes. Is he essential to his success, no,” the fan wrote on X in a since-deleted post.

Diggs response was simple, but it said enough: “You sure?

He clearly knew what was going on behind the scenes and that his words would not cause much controversy since he was being traded anyways.

Josh Allen was drafted by the Bills in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft and spent two seasons in Buffalo before the team went out and traded for Diggs.

Allen racked up 2,074 passing yards and 10 passing touchdowns in his first year and 3,089 passing yards and 20 passing touchdowns in his second year. However, once Stefon Diggs walked in, his numbers exploded.

Stefon Diggs may be 30-years-old, but his numbers show that he is still in his prime as he heads to the Houston Texans.

The 30-year-old receiver recorded 107 catches for 1,183 yards and 8 touchdowns last season. Diggs finished 2022 with 108 catches for 1,429 yards and 11 touchdowns, up from 103 receptions, 1,225 yards, and 10 scores in 2021.

Combine his talent with an emerging CJ Stroud and the sky may be the limit for him and the Texans.
