RYAN Seacrest has sneakily shared some more glimpses of the new Wheel of Fortune set ahead of the season 42 premiere.

The iconic game show typically debuts a new season in September, and this year’s Wheel of Fortune is no different with the brand-new series airing its first episode on September 9.

Pat Sajak used to host the show with Vanna White, with him at the helm for 40 years, but last year he announced he would be stepping down, with his retirement commencing back in June of this year.

Ryan Secrest was then announced, with him saying he was “truly humbled to be stepping into the footsteps of the legendary Pat Sajak” when he was revealed as the new host last summer in a statement.

“Pat Sajak is such a legend. He makes it look so easy and smooth and seamless. He’s remarkable,” Ryan previously gushed.

And now Ryan has shared some sneaky glimpses of the all-new Wheel of Fortune set ahead of the new season airing in a matter of days.

“Let’s take this thing for a spin?” Ryan asked as he walked into the shot and stood in front of the iconic wheel in a short video clip.

He captioned the post, “Ready to take the wheel in a few weeks! Mark your calendars: premiering Sept 9th.”

In the video, the new set was visible, with bright colors, palm trees, and the gigantic wheel all on display for fans to marvel at.

Fans were so excited by Ryan’s sneak peek, and many were quick to flock to the comments section to share their anticipation ahead of the new season.

‘CAN’T WAIT’ FOR RYAN’S EPISODES

“Let’s go Ryan Seacrest! I can’t wait to watch the first taped show of your era on my local station WECT! I love wheel so much & a huge fan of it,” penned one excitable fan

Another gushed, “Will be great to finally see your first episodes. Ever since we (public and former contestants) knew you would be taking over, there’s been such excitement from most.

“Looking forward to it and I know you’ve been having some fun hosting already.”

“Can’t wait! Another chapter in your life,” penned a third.

“I haven’t watched that show in 1 million years but I’ll watch it to see you,” added a fourth.

Wheel of Fortune Host Timeline

Although Pat and Vanna have been a staple on the game show for decades, there have been other hosts

Chuck Woolery was the host from 1975 to 1981

He co-hosted alongside Susan Stafford (1975 to 1982)

Vanna White then stepped in as hostess in 1982 and has been ever since

After a contract and salary dispute, the show got rid of Chuck and brought in Pat in 1982

Pat hosted with Susan for one season

He then left the game show in 1989 to host a late-night talk show for CBS

For five months, NFL player Rolf Benirschke took his place

In July 1989, Bob Goen hosted the show on CBS

He hosted for a year and a half until the show was canceled in 1991

The show was then moved to ABC with Pat and Vanna hosting for the foreseeable future

In 2023, Pat announced his retirement and Ryan Seacrest as quickly named as his replacement

This comes after Good Morning America shared some glimpses of the new set, with fans reacting to it on Reddit.

FANS DIVIDED OVER NEW SET

“I love it, its modern and unique,” gushed one fan on the popular social media site.

While another agreed, “I like it, has that new-era vibe with Ryan as the new host.”

“The puzzleboard is the only good part of this IMO, everything else just looks so cheap/tacky. Not a fan of the new graphics/removal of the LED logo behind the contestants either,” said another who was far from impressed.

A different fan then shared how they thought the new wheel for the US show looked a lot like the UK wheel.

“I feel like since the current U.K. version of Wheel and since Pat announced his retirement, there’s been rumors we’d be getting a U.K. like set and it appears the rumors are kind of true,” said a fourth.

“The new wheel is definitely in line with the U.K. set,” they added.

And a fifth person agreed, “[It] feels very ‘International clone’ like. If you told me this was the Tibetan WOF set. I wouldn’t be surprised. ”
