Actress Abigail Spencer, Meghan Markle’s close friend and former Suits co-star, was revealed to be one of the lucky few who was sent her new strawberry jam to taste test.

The Duchess of Sussex went viral last Monday after she unveiled her strawberry jam which will be the first product to be sold under American Riviera Orchard – launched last month.

The duchess sent the conserve to 50 of her influencer friends to taste test – just days after it was announced she will be curating a cookery show on Netflix.

Initially, among the lucky few who received Meghan’s new, hand-numbered, product and shared pictures of it on social media were fashion designer Tracy Robbins and Argentine socialite Delfina Balquier.

Now Abigail Spencer, who appears to be very close to Meghan, posted a series of new snaps on her Instagram page featuring the jam.

In the pictures, the 42-year-old, who was gifted jar number six, can be seen posing with the jar in a sunny garden with her dog.

The jam har is presented in a bowl of lemons and flowers.

The actress captioned the post: “This jam is my jam. A delicious taste of what’s to come indeed… love you so M [strawberry, lemon and cherry emojis] @americanrivieraorchard.”

Her post was followed by divided comments from fans and friends.

Actress Mindy Kaling commented: “This is like an ad for sunshine and happiness.”

American jewellery designer Maya Brenner said: “This is just the prettiest pic. And our Love Retreat necklace collaboration making an appearance [flower emoji]”.

Another user added: “Women supporting women, that’s my thing”.

However, other users were not very impressed with the photoshoot, with one branding it “hilarious”. One user wrote: “I often take a platter of fruit out into the garden to pose with [laughing face emoji] f****** hilarious”.

A second one commented: “Not even an attempt to remove the c***** lemons and dead flowers? Its like a cheap farmers market basket.(sic)”.

A third one questioned: “Are you sure you want to eat that jam??????”

Lastly, a fourth one said: “This is so cringe. And not even good staging.”
