Meghan Markle could never return to the UK ever again due to one key reason, expert claims. The Duchess of Sussex, 42, has not be on UK soil since 2022 and made no attempt to return throughout 2023 and, so far, this year either.

During her last visit to the UK, which was originally intended as a work trip, Meghan attended the late Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral. Prince Harry is set to return to the UK next month to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the Invictus Games in London, and questions lie on whether Meghan will join him on the trip.

British commentator Esther Krakue spoke on GB News about Meghan’s potential visit, adding she believes that she won’t attend with Harry – especially due to one major reason. Speaking on the show, Ms Krakue said: “I actually think she’s avoiding the UK because she’s not interested in the whole drama and, kind of, being injected, is she going to talk to [Princess] Kate, and all of that.

“I personally think she’s not going to come because, obviously, Harry has lost his case with the Home Office and he said he doesn’t feel safe bringing his family over [to the UK] and I also think this is going to be a time where distance between the Sussexes and the Royal Family will be calcified because the focus will obviously be on the Princess of Wales and the King recovering, they don’t need the whole Netflix drama.”

As well as his wife, many also wondered whether the couple would bring their two children with them. Prince Archie, four, and Princess Lilibet, two, have spent very little time in the UK. The Duke of Sussex is due to speak at a special service marking the anniversary of the event which will be held at St. Paul’s Cathedral on May 8.
