The day has arrived for quarterback Jayden Daniels to showcase his skills at LSU’s pro day, but he is dealing with a concerning injury.

Dr. Jesse Morse is an NFL sports medicine whisperer who regularly gives his takes on what athletes are dealing with when it comes to injuries.

This week, Morse took to X and stated former LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels appears to be dealing with olecranon bursitis of his right throwing elbow.

The National Institutes of Health says the “olecranon bursa is a synovial membrane located immediately posterior to the olecranon bone of the elbow. The bursa’s function is to allow the bony olecranon to glide smoothly across the overlying tissues with flexion and extension of the elbow.”

“Olecranon bursitis refers to inflammation of the bursa,” it continued.

Dr. Jesse Morse added that this is very common and “more annoying than concerning” as long as they are not infected. He goes on to add that it can be drained with a needle but will oftentimes fill back up.

With his diagnosis, he added several pictures that included Jayde Daniels getting ready to throw a football as well as another picture of somebody else’s elbow and two medical pictures of what he is speaking about.

The former LSU quarterback had one of the best seasons in recent memory in 2023. In his Heisman campaign, Jayden Daniels threw for 3,812 yards, 40 touchdowns, and just four interceptions.

He was also a threat with his legs as he ran for 1,134 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Jayden Daniels Said He Will Focus on Throwing at LSU Pro Day

Jayden Daniels had zero plans of showing off his athletic prowess at LSU’s pro day.

It was reported this week that the former LSU star quarterback will not do athletic testing at Wednesday’s workout and will instead focus on throwing.

The reigning Heisman winner is expected to be one of the first three picks in next month’s NFL draft, with many having him go to the Washington Commanders.
