Ezekiel Elliott and dalvin cook in uniform
Dalvin Cook and Ezekiel Elliott would love to continue their respective careers as they both are looking to find a team that needs their services.

Ezekiel Elliott is one of several New England Patriots free agents this offseason while Dalvin Cook got released by the New York Jets.

Both players want to play for a Super Bowl contender and they both have the same idea.

A new report from The Dallas Morning News states both Dalvin Cook and Ezekiel Elliott want to play for the Dallas Cowboys.

Jerry Jones and Executive Vice President Stephen Jones told The Dallas Morning News this week at the NFL’s annual meeting they could neither confirm nor deny interest in the running backs.

Ezekiel Elliott could still make a return to the Dallas Cowboys during the off-season. Elliott is a player that Cowboys fans remember fondly, but his time with the franchise did not come to the end that many would have expected.

In 2019, Jones and the Cowboys opted to reward Ezekiel with a mega contract that he never lived up to. He ended up being released after the 2022 season and played last year with the New England Patriots.

Running back Dalvin Cook’s short tenure with the Jets came to an end as both sides mutually agreed to part ways. Cook signed with the Jets last summer he had just 67 carries for 214 yards and 15 catches for 78 yards this past season, via ESPN.com.

Adding A Veteran Like Ezekiel Elliott or Dalvin Cook Could Do Wonders For The Cowboys

Mike McCarthy once proclaimed he wanted his Cowboys to “run the damn ball,” but Cowboys did not do a very good job of doing so last year.

The Dallas Cowboys let Tony Pollard leave in free agency but brought back Rico Dowdle, but that is not going to cut it in the long run. Bringing in a veteran like Dalvin Cook or Ezekiel Elliott could change things on offense.

Elliott already knows the place and could easily make the transition.

Having a veteran presence that can be healthy during playoffs could push the Cowboys deeper into the postseason.
