Las Vegas Raiders superstar wide receiver Davante Adams made it very clear which team he wants to play for in 2024 amid ongoing trade rumors.

Davante Adams has been mentioned as a possible trade candidate for a while now, dating back to the midst of the 2023 season. The future Hall of Famer was openly frustrated with his team’s performance at times, and ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported in November that the New York Jets contacted the Raiders about a possible Adams trade.

Speaking to reporters at his youth football camp in Sin City, Adams made it clear that he wants to stay right where he is, per Tashan Reed of The Athletic.

“If I wanted to be gone, I’d be gone by now,” Adams said. “This is where I want to be.”

In the 2022 offseason, Adams sought a trade to Las Vegas so that he could play with old friend and former college teammate Derek Carr. The Green Bay Packers wound up trading Adams to the Raiders for 2022 first and second-round picks.

But the Raiders released Carr after the 2022 season, and he signed with the New Orleans Saints in free agency. Nonetheless, Adams appears content to stay with Vegas for at least another year even with Carr long gone.

Raiders Need Davante Adams To Have A Chance At The Postseason

The Raiders finished last season strong under interim head coach Antonio Pierce, who was named the permanent HC after guiding the club to a 5-4 finish. With Pierce taking on the full-time HC position, there is optimism that this team can return to the postseason.

If Vegas is to contend for a playoff spot in 2024, they’ll want to hold onto the 31-year-old superstar wideout. Adams is a top-five receiver in the game who has proven that he can put up all-world numbers without Aaron Rodgers.

The odds of Las Vegas getting equal value for the consistent 1,000-yard receiver are awfully slim, so they’d be wise to keep him for at least another year.
