Prince Harry is expected to reunite with King Charles once again ahead of a trip to London’s Invictus Games – but sources say Queen Camilla will not be joining the party.

The Duke has invited members of the Firm to a ceremony for the Invictus Games, but the event clashes with a garden party at Buckingham Palace, and royal experts is thought unlikely that many will attend.

Camilla is expected to tell Prince Harry she is “otherwise engaged” when he returns for the Invictus Games 10th anniversary commemorative service on Wednesday. But the two simple words also give an indication of how she feels about the King’s youngest son.

It comes as the King and Queen are taking on more than 200 new patronages amidst a major review. The monarch is heading a further 200 charities and organisations, including the Royal British Legion and the Jockey Club, in the first big reshuffle of duties following the late-Queen’s death. It comes as he returns to public duties this week following his cancer treatment.

Charles made a surprise visit to one of his late mother’s favourite events the Royal Windsor Horse Show on Friday and got a sweet kiss and cuddle from niece Zara Tindall, who was a member of the British Equestrian team for the 2012 London Olympic Games. The late Queen attended the event in Berkshire almost every year since she was a young girl until her death in 2022.

Charles, 75, beamed as he braved the wet weather to tour some of the showgrounds, where some of his horses in action. The visit comes just days after spoke of his “shock” at being diagnosed with cancer.

Prince Harry is set to arrive on UK soil for the first time since February next week, with royal sources claiming he’s requested to meet up with his father King Charles.

The Duke of Sussex, who briefly visited Charles earlier this year following his cancer diagnosis, is reportedly keen to see him again during his flying visit which will see him attend a service at St Paul’s Cathedral celebrating 10 years of the Invictus Games.

It’s believed that no senior royals will be present at this event, but according to insiders, Harry has offered an olive branch and asked his father to meet with him while he’s here in the UK.
