Prince Harry is not expected to see Kate, the Princess of Wales and Prince William when he returns to the UK next week as the pair are said to still be reeling from his “betrayal”.

A source, who is a friend of the Prince and Princess of Wales, also said that the couple are not in contact with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex following their repeated attacks on them and the rest of the Royal Family since stepping down as senior royals in 2020.

In March the Princess of Wales, 39, announced her cancer diagnosis during a shock TV address.

Prince Harry is returning to the UK on May 8, to attend an event for the Invictus Games, an international multi-sport event for wounded, injured and sick servicemen and women.

It was founded by the Duke in 2014 in partnership with the Ministry of Defence.

In February, the Duke flew home from his US residence to visit his father, King Charles, who has been diagnosed with a form of cancer.

According to GB News, Kate and William’s friend said: “Both sides understand each other’s position clearly now.

“William and Catherine felt completely betrayed by Harry’s memoir (Spare). They don’t speak to Harry and Meghan.”

Harry and Meghan are believed to have reached out to Princess Kate after she announced her cancer diagnosis, but neither have spoken about it publicly.

It is likely that Buckingham Palace may have been aware of Harry’s upcoming visit for some time as he is required to give 28 days notice so security can be arranged.

He recently lost his security case against the UK Government where he was seeking automatic police protection in the UK.

Following the trip back to his home country, Harry is expected to travel to Nigeria where he will meet Meghan to take part in talks on the Invictus Games.
