Nick Cannon, Abby De La Rosa reveal son's major diagnosis

While recognizing World Autism Awareness Day, Nick Cannon and Abby De La Rosa announce that their 2-year-old son Zillion Heir Cannon has been diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. In addition to their son Zillion Heir, the pair shares his 2-year-old twin brother Zion Mixolydian, and their 16-month-old daughter, Beautiful Zeppelin.

On Tuesday morning, Abby De La Rosa took to her Instagram account and shared a collaborative post with her children’s father Nick Cannon to reveal their son Zillion Heir’s autism diagnosis.

De La Rosa wrote, “Today our family recognizes World Autism Awareness Day which is beyond meaningful to us because our amazing 2-year-old, Zillion, was recently diagnosed with ASD – joining the unique energy of others like Niko Telsa, Sir Isaac Newton, Albert Einstein, and Michael Angelo, just to name a few dynamic individuals. Our beautiful boy experiences life in 4D and teaches us something new every day! His love, strength, and brilliance light up every room he enters! We are blessed that God had placed such an amazing spirit under our guardianship and we have accepted this assignment wholeheartedly!”

She continued, “On this World Autism Awareness Day, we extend our embrace to families worldwide, acknowledging shared challenges and championing understanding. Together, let’s create a world of acceptance and compassion. #onthespectrum ##autismawareness #sensoryplay.”

Nick Cannon also commented on the post and said, “My brilliant little guy! We love you Zilly!” In her Instagram Story, Abby De La Rosa continued to share further information about Autism Awareness Day and how she’s been dealing with different challenges.

In one post she wrote, “The last year has really been one of the most challenging years of my life. Constantly advocating and fighting for answers all while working and trying to be the best mother, friend, and partner. Today, I want to uplift all the families worldwide, acknowledging all the challenges and spreading love and understanding.”

She accompanied her text with an image of a quote that read, “Mothers of children with autism have stress levels comparable to combat veterans. – University of Wisconsin-Madison.” In another post, she shared a video from the family’s Easter Sunday egg hunt and said, “Easter was different this year. We chose to cater to Zillion’s sensory needs with our first-ever glow-in-the-dark Easter egg hunt. He absolutely loved it! Next year… we’re going bigger and brighter! #sensoryplay.”

In addition to the three children Nick Cannon shares with Abby De La Rosa, he also shares 9 other children with 5 other women. Cannon shares: 12-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe with Mariah Carey; Golden Sagon, 7, Powerful Queen, 3, and Rise Messiah, 1, with Brittany Bell; Legendary Love, with Bre Tiesi; Onyx Ice Cole, with LaNisha Cole; and a 1-year-old daughter, Halo Marie, with Alyssa Scott.

Cannon and Scott also share a son named Zen, who passed away from a brain tumor at 5 months old in December 2021. For Easter this year, the parents honored him by visiting and surprising children at St. Mary’s Children’s Hospital in Bayside, New York. While there, they hosted Zen’s Light Easter Egg-stravaganza.
