NFLbreaking news:Watch how Travis Kelce had telling response to Donald Trump mocking Taylor Swift after Super Bowl boos
Travis Kelce’s response to Super Bowl fans booing his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, has come to light after Donald Trump stuck the knife in on the couple and the Kansas City Chiefs.
Swift was present at Ceasars Superdrome in New Orleans to cheer on Travis and his Kansas City Chiefs as they faced the Philadelphia Eagles in the 2025 Super Bowl. However, when her face appeared on the big screen during Sunday’s match, Eagles fans at the stadium responded with a chorus of boos.
The Grammy Award-winning artist looked visibly perplexed by the crowd’s reaction, turning to her friend, Ice Spice, in confusion. Despite the awkward situation, she managed to laugh it off. “Aww what, what’s going on? ” she queried.
Following the incident, President Trump took to social media to suggest that Taylor had a “tougher night” than Travis’ team, who were defeated by the Eagles. I’s reported that Travis was deeply upset upon hearing the boos directed at the ‘Bad Blood’ singer throughout the stadium.
A source told the Daily Mail: “Travis was aware of Taylor getting booed and he felt helpless. Seeing the look on her face got to him. He always protects her and it broke his heart. He was already having a tough night and the fact that the stadium was predominantly Eagles fans didn’t help. Travis knows that this hurt her and anyone can see this.”
Trump left the Super Bowl more than an hour early
The source suggested that the tight end deemed it “unnecessary” for Trump to target the pop star. It is claimed that Eagles fans might perceive Taylor as a traitor, given her Pennsylvania roots and previous appearances in Eagles jerseys before meeting Travis.
Following the incident, Travis, visibly emotional, was spotted heading to the locker room after the Eagles defeat amid continued speculation about his future.
Swift and Trump have had a long-running feud after the pop star showed her support for Kamala Harris during the election campaign. The U.S. president later responded, revealing he ‘hated’ her but before the Super Bowl, he publicly praised the career of Kelce.
The Chiefs star had also discussed Trump attending the game in New Orleans, saying: “It’s a great honor. I think you know, no matter who the president is, I know I’m excited because it’s the biggest game of my life, you know, and having the president there — it’s the best country in the world — and that’s pretty cool.”
