Minnesota Vikings superstar wide receiver Justin Jefferson has been frequently mentioned in trade rumors over the past few weeks, and understandably so.
For one, the Vikings have yet to reach an agreement on a new deal with Justin Jefferson, who has been eligible for an extension since last year. And after the Vikings lost Pro Bowl quarterback Kirk Cousins to the Atlanta Falcons in free agency, some wonder if JJ is less keen on re-signing with Minnesota now.
If the Vikings decide to begin a full-scale rebuild, then it makes sense to trade the league’s best wide receiver to the highest bidder. And while 31 other teams would love to make a move for Jefferson, only so many are logical landing spots.
One of those teams? The New York Giants, who have the incentives and the draft capital to make a move for Jefferson.

New York hasn’t had a 1,000-yard receiver since 2018, when Odell Beckham Jr. hit the feat in his final season with the club. As much criticism as Daniel Jones gets, the Giants have yet to provide him with a single Pro Bowl-caliber pass-catcher to maximize his talents.

The Giants also have the cap space to give Jefferson a record-setting deal that will surpass Tyreek Hill’s $30 million average annual value. Hill’s number marks the highest among all wide receivers, per Spotrac.
What The Giants Should Offer To Vikings For Justin Jefferson
The Giants own the No. 6 selection in this year’s NFL Draft. The Vikings own the No. 11 and No. 23 picks, having acquired the latter in a recent trade with the Houston Texans.
New York should offer the No. 6 pick and its 2024 second-round pick (47th overall) to Minnesota for Jefferson. With this move, the rebuilding Vikings would have three first-rounders and four picks inside the top 50.
This trade scenario gives the Giants a new franchise building block in Jefferson. For Minnesota, they can use one of their three first-rounders on one of the top WR prospects (Marvin Harrison Jr., Rome Odunze or Malik Nabers) and potentially a new quarterback as well.
