Los Angeles Chargers superstar pass rusher Joey Bosa remains one of the top names to follow on the trade market as the 2024 NFL Draft draws closer.
Entering this offseason, Joey Bosa was among the big four Chargers players mentioned in trade rumors, along with fellow edge rusher Khalil Mack and wide receivers Keenan Allen and Mike Williams.
Bosa and Mack agreed to restructure their deals to remain Chargers. Williams was released and signed with the New York Jets, and Allen was traded to the Chicago Bears.
With Bosa restructuring his contract, the Chargers are in a good spot to maximize their return in a potential trade compared to just a few weeks ago. And there’s one NFC contender that stands out as a landing spot for Bosa.
That would be Jerry Jones’ Dallas Cowboys, who have curiously been absent since the new league year began. The Cowboys owner and de facto GM has been heavily criticized for failing to make a big move despite previously stating that the team would go “all-in” this offseason, via ESPN’s Todd Archer.

But with the Chargers reshaping their roster under new head coach Jim Harbaugh and GM Joe Hortiz, Joey Bosa should be available for the right price. And with Dallas supposedly in win-now mode, this feels like the ideal time for the Cowboys and Bolts to discuss a trade.
What Dallas Should Offer For Joey Bosa
Bosa’s injury history and hefty salary means the Chargers can’t realistically expect a first-round pick for the four-time Pro Bowler. However, they should be able to get a valuable day two pick in exchange for the 28-year-old.
Dallas should offer the Chargers the No. 87 pick in this year’s draft plus a 2025 fourth-round pick for Bosa, who would form arguably the league’s best pass-rushing tandem alongside superstar Micah Parsons.
At the end of the day, day two and three draft picks are really lottery tickets. The Cowboys can try their hand at finding an impact player in round three, or they could do the Bolts a favor and take on Bosa’s hefty salary while adding a superstar-level player to bolster their Super Bowl dreams.
