The New England Patriots are apparently giving away a former player’s jersey at the official team shop for…free?

Earlier this month, the New England Patriots began their roster overhaul by releasing former 1,000-yard wide receiver DeVante Parker. The ex-Miami Dolphins standout then went on to a sign a one-year deal with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Twitter/X user @imDvn_ shared a photo of a Parker jersey being available at the Patriots’ official team pro shop for $0.00. If you don’t believe it, there’s photo evidence of it:

If you live in the area of the Patriots’ pro shop and want your hands on a Parker jersey, you should act quickly. If you got to the team’s official pro shop website, you’ll see that Parker jerseys still cost $129.99.

In the 2022 offseason, the New England Patriots acquired Parker and a fifth-round pick from the rival Miami Dolphins for a 2023 third-round draft choice. The former 2015 first-round pick, however, was never able to regain his star-like form in Foxborough.

Over his two seasons with the Patriots, the 31-year-old Parker compiled 64 receptions for 933 yards and three touchdowns. Parker’s best season came in 2019, when he caught 72 passes for 1,202 yards and nine touchdowns.

The New England Patriots Are Entering A Fresh Era

For the first time since 1999, the New England Patriots will not have the legendary Bill Belichick roaming the sidelines in 2024.

Four years after the painful goodbye to franchise icon Tom Brady, the Patriots parted ways with Belichick back in January. Former Pro Bowl linebacker and inside linebackers coach was promoted to the HC position, while Belichick was surprisingly snubbed in the latest NFL head coach hiring cycle.

Mayo and de facto GM Eliot Wolf can quickly turn this team around thanks to the No. 3 pick in next month’s 2024 NFL Draft. LSU’s Jayden Daniels, Michigan’s J.J. McCarthy and North Carolina’s Drake Maye are among the potential franchise-changing QBs that could be available for the Pats with the No. 3 selection.
