Saquon Barkley is moving on from the New York Giants, but not the NFC East.

The star running back is signing with the Philadelphia Eagles, having confirmed as much himself. According to reports, Barkley has agreed to a three-year deal that could be worth up to $46 million, with $26 million guaranteed.

“Former Giants RB Saquon Barkley reached agreement with the Philadelphia Eagles on a three-year, $37.75 million contract that could be worth up to $46.75M and includes $26M fully guaranteed at signing, per sources,” ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported.

“Barkley now beats the franchise tag number and has a maximum average-per-year salary of $15.833M, which would be second highest for a RB in NFL History.”

The new Eagles star took to social media with a reaction to his deal with the Eagles, posting a pair of Eagle emojis to X.

Giants fans were not happy…

Some admitted that the front office was to blame, however.

NFC East players don’t typically sign with rival teams, though Barkley’s move isn’t a first. The Eagles have been such a destination before as they signed former running back Demarco Murray follwing his success with the Dallas Cowboys in 2015.

They will hope Barkley has a better stint in Philly than Murray had.
