Actress Michelle Keegan has given fans a touching insight into her life as a new mother, celebrating her first Mother’s Day with her newborn daughter, Palma.
Michelle and her husband, Mark Wright, who have been married for a decade, first announced their pregnancy at the end of 2024. The couple shared the joyful news with a beachside photo of Michelle cradling her baby bump, captioned: “2025 is going to be a special one for us…”
Their daughter, Palma Elizabeth Wright, arrived on March 6, 2025, with the proud parents posting a black-and-white snapshot of their baby girl in their arms on March 12. Alongside the picture, they wrote: “Together, we have a new love to share… Our little girl.”
Now, Michelle has shared more personal moments from her journey into motherhood, posting a collection of heartfelt photos from Mother’s Day. The images captured her enjoying a family outing in Southend, marking the occasion with a simple yet meaningful caption: “Such a special day from start to finish. Happy Mother’s Day.”
Fans flooded the comments with messages of love and support. One wrote: “Happy first Mother’s Day and many more to come!” Another added: “Enjoy every moment with your precious Palma—it flies by in the blink of an eye!”
Michelle’s sister-in-law, Jess Wright, also joined in, commenting: “Beautiful day for us mummas.”
Meanwhile, Mark opened up about the realities of new fatherhood during his radio show with Olly Murs. When a caller mentioned feeling tired from sorting clothes, Mark humorously replied: “Lisa, don’t talk to me about tired right now!”
Olly laughed as Mark continued: “Because Palma, my little baby, is making me extremely tired. I walked in this morning, and Olly said, ‘You look shattered!’”
Olly then teased Mark, pointing out his “dad eyes”: “It’s the first time I’ve seen those little bags under your eyes in all the years I’ve known you. It’s definitely a parent thing!” Mark joked back: “Yeah, they always talk about dad bods, but no one warns you about dad eyes!”
Over the years, Michelle and Mark have often faced questions about starting a family. Michelle previously addressed the topic in a 2020 interview with Women’s Health, expressing frustration over the societal expectations placed on women.
“I do think it’s different for women. It shouldn’t be, but it is. I get asked about children, whereas Mark wouldn’t. People ask, ‘Why haven’t I had a child? When am I going to have a child?’ I never know what to say—I don’t know what the right or wrong answer is.”
Now, as they embrace this new chapter in their lives, Michelle and Mark are relishing every moment with their baby girl.
