Meghan Markle may have just found the perfect reason to avoid a potential reunion in the UK with Prince Harry and their children, according to royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams. Fitzwilliams suggests that Meghan could use Harry’s recent security setback as a convenient “excuse” to skip the trip.

Despite speculation that Prince William and Kate Middleton extended an olive branch to the Sussexes following Kate’s cancer diagnosis, Meghan is reportedly hesitant to make the journey across the pond. Fitzwilliams believes that while security might be a plausible excuse, it wouldn’t actually be an issue, as the UK would ensure their safety.

Prince Harry, however, is expected to visit the UK in May for the tenth anniversary of the Invictus Games, and a possible reunion with his family seems more likely after a reported phone call between the brothers following Kate’s announcement.

Tom Quinn, another royal expert, claimed that William and Kate invited Harry and Meghan, along with their children Archie and Lilibet, to visit the UK in an attempt to mend fences. However, Quinn doubts Meghan will accept the invitation, citing security concerns as a major factor.

The couple’s reluctance to visit the UK stems from the lack of taxpayer-funded security, forcing them to foot the bill for private security services, which they deem too risky for their children’s safety.

While Harry and Meghan have not yet responded to the invitation, their support for the Royal Family during challenging times, including King Charles and Kate’s health battles, has not gone unnoticed. Whether this gesture will lead to a reunion remains to be seen.
