Meghan Markle has reportedly made her decision regarding a trip to the UK in May, and the outlook is not favorable, according to insights from a royal expert.

Prince Harry is scheduled to return to his homeland at the start of May to participate in the 10th-anniversary celebration of the Invictus Games. His itinerary includes a special service at St. Paul’s Cathedral on May 8, although Meghan’s attendance at this event is still uncertain.

Meghan has been a constant presence by Harry’s side during Invictus events, exuding her friendly American charm by holding his hand, engaging with crowds, and embracing participants. However, there’s a possibility that Harry might find himself attending the upcoming events for the international multi-sport event without her.

“I believe Meghan will never set foot in the UK again,” remarked Charles Rae, former royal correspondent for The Sun.

“I don’t think she has any desire to have any connection with this country whatsoever.”

Rae initially observed Meghan embracing her role within the royal family but noted a change in her stance over time.

“I don’t think she fully grasped the hierarchy within the royal family. You have the monarch, the Prince of Wales, and then everyone else below. She wanted to be the star, and when that didn’t happen, she simply packed up and left for America.”

In the meantime, Prince Harry is reportedly experiencing “sleepless nights” in anticipation of his upcoming visit to the UK next month.

Harry and Meghan are grappling with decisions about what to do when Harry visits the UK later this year. He will need to address the significant challenges facing his family, but he also wants to avoid doing or saying anything that could be interpreted as less than wholehearted support for his wife, who feels perpetually aggrieved,” shared royal expert and author Tom Quinn.

During Harry’s last visit to the UK, he met with his father, King Charles, following the latter’s cancer diagnosis. However, Meghan remained in Montecito, California, with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. It appears likely that she will opt out of visiting the UK once again next month.
