Meghan Markle was warned to be “sensitive” to the timing of her brand launch following the Princess of Wales’s cancer diagnosis.

The Duchess of Sussex soft launched her latest business venture – a lifestyle brand called American Riviera Orchard – last month, with a brand new Instagram page which featured the brand’s logo, a crest and linked to a website prompting users to sign up for a waiting list.

It is also said to coincide with the launch of a brand-new cooking show on Netflix.

But the duchess’s brand launch was followed by Princess Kate’s shocking cancer diagnosis announcement video during which the future queen revealed she is currently undergoing preventative chemotherapy for it.

Lynn Carratt from Press Box PRn told the Mirror: “As Meghan is no longer part of the Monarchy, she is free to launch her brand whenever she likes.

“However, given Kate’s ongoing cancer treatments, it would be wise for Meghan to be sensitive to the timing of her brand launch, considering the public support for Kate worldwide.”

The PR specialist suggested it would be best for the duchess to “work quietly on her brand behind the scenes” for the time being until the public receive some positive news about King Charles – who is also undergoing cancer treatment – and Princess Kate

She explained: “Meghan should keep a low profile and show support for her in-laws publicly.

“This way, Meghan can continue working hard on her brand without creating any negative impact towards the Royal Family.”
