Kim Kardashian was pictured getting close with her ex-husband Kris Humphries’ friend Peter Cornell at a Los Angeles Lakers game alongside daughter North West

Kim Kardashian was caught in a very friendly exchange with her ex-husband’s friend – but all is not as it seems, according to experts.

The mum-of-four was snapped catching up with her second husband Kris Humphries’ friend Peter Cornell at a recent Los Angeles Lakers game, joined by her eldest daughter North West, shared with her other ex, Kanye. Pictures showed the pair appearing to enjoy each other’s company, with Kim laughing at Peter’s big court-side hand gestures.

Exclusively analysing new pictures of the two, body language expert Judi James tells the Mirror that Kim displays a “complimentary” pose while chatting Peter, who was sat with Hollywood actor Will Ferrell. She says Kim pays Pete some “flattering eye-attention”.

Judi explains, however: “There are several body language cues that suggest this is not her new love match and if she is keen, she might need to think again. His edge-to-edge teeth smile as he looks down at her appears rather smug, while his lip-purse as he poses for the camera with Will looks pretty odd,” the behavioural expert revealed.

“Kim’s legs are crossed away from Pete here, suggesting a lack of interest but it’s his leg cross that should cause the most concern. Pete is clearly a tall guy and Kim is clearly something of a celebrity goddess.” Judi continues, asking the question: “So why, when he sits chatting to Will does he ignore Kim to the point where he has his legs crossed at thigh level with the sole of his massive foot pointing in her direction?

“It’s not a first-date move to let the sole of your shoe get close to your girl as you ignore her to chat with someone else. This looks like disrespectful body language from anyone, let alone a potential love interest. Zero points in terms of romance here from him at least.” The Mirror has contacted both Kim and Peter’s representatives for comment.

Kim and Kris were married for 72 days (

The two would often see each other during Kim and Kris’ famously short 72-day marriage. Peter was friends with Kris in the early 2000s due to their basketball career, Peter played in minor leagues, but Kris was in the NBA, meeting Kim in October 2010.

They tied the knot in August 2011, with Kim filing for divorce less than 80 days later. Kim admitted in 2021 that she’d recently ran into her ex-husband while she was pregnant with her and Ye’s second son, Saint, but he didn’t even acknowledge her.

“All of his friends got up and said hi to me. He just literally looked at me and wouldn’t even speak to me,” she said during a reunion of Keeping Up With The Kardashians. “He’s very faith-based, and so, I’m sure he would have loved to not have marriage on his record. He wanted an annulment. The only legal way to get an annulment is if fraud is involved, so he marked fraud to get an annulment. So the whole world wondered, “What is this fraud?”… If I was mature, I would have wanted the annulment too.

“I wish I was only married once,” she added at the time. The split didn’t seem to muddy her relationship with mutual friend Peter as the two appeared to get on just fine.
