Kevin Conroy has become a legend in the world of superheroes, having been the voice of Batman in almost all of his animated versions. From starring in Batman: The Animated Series to Batman: The Killing Joke, and even Scooby-Doo and Guess Who?, it is as though he was made to voice the Caped Crusader.

He has been dominating the DC Animated Universe for decades. Despite this, it would seem that around the release of one of the most iconic Marvel films of all time, there were rumors that he would star in it.

Kevin Conroy as a Member of the Black Order

When Marvel was building up the release of Avengers: Infinity War, there was a lot of speculation that were making their rounds through the fandoms. Since this was one of the biggest movies Marvel released with the most hyped-up villain, all eyes were on what this movie would bring. One of the biggest concerns of the fans was which actors would be a part of its cast.

It was expected, as revealed by Bounding Into Comics, that those who had already entered the MCU would at least have a cameo in the movie. Fans were more concerned with who would be cast in the roles of characters who were yet to make their first appearances. The biggest example of such characters was Thanos’ Black Order, also known as the Children of Thanos.

“There are interesting people doing the voices. You’ll probably know when you see the movie.” said Feige.

Before the announcement of their casting, Kevin Feige teased Vulture that these characters would be voiced by some well-known voice actors. Fans could not help but immediately think of Kevin Conroy; who is better known in the voice-acting community than the person who is almost every version of the Batman.

Although Kevin Conroy did not address these rumors directly, he did speak on something similar to Comicbook.com. The voice actor was asked if he was ever interested in playing a character from the Marvel Universe rather than DC. To this, he revealed that he would absolutely love to do such a thing, specifically wanting to play an antagonist.

“Of course. I’m an actor. Actors want challenges, they want to be stretched.” said Conroy.

Although this was in no way confirmation or teasing, many believed it to be and thought that he would be playing one of the members of the Black Order in Avengers: Infinity War. This, of course, did not happen, and these characters were played by Terry Notary, Tom Vaughan-Lawlor, Carry Coon, and Michael James Shaw, all of whom are well-known names in Hollywood.
