Kelvin and Liz Fletcher have declared ‘that’s a wrap’ as they share the latest on their television escapades. The couple, who work along with their four little ones on an impressive 120-acre farm, have been at the heart of the beloved ITV series, Fletcher’s Family Farm
Audiences have witnessed Kelvin, previously known for his stint as Emmerdale’s farmer Andy Sugden, delve into ‘true’-to-life farm work. The show, a cosy Sunday morning treat, first hit our screens in October 2023, followed by another season in November last year.
The Fletchers spread some Christmas cheer in 2024 with a special episode whisking them from their Cheshire homestead to the frosty reaches of the Arctic Circle in Finland, where they visited a family-operated farm. But after spreading festive joy, Liz announced putting a pause on the programme this past Sunday (February 16).
The pair took to Instagram, led by Liz, to pour out their thanks to supporters: “And that’s a wrap! Thank you so much to everyone who tuned in week after week to see our farming journey!
“We are so grateful for all the lovely messages and comments and so happy that you have enjoyed watching it as much as we loved making it! This is only just the beginning! Happy Sunday!”
Fans didn’t hold back their excitement, with one Instagrammer saying: “The best program in tv! What a lovely family life for your kiddies.” Another was all praise, saying: “Loved every episode. You guys are the best. Please let there be another series.”
One user declared their love for the show: “Love this series! Such a lovely family.” While another added: “Brilliant show. Great to see how far you have all come. Keep it going.”
This outpouring of support comes amid with Kelvin Fletcher and his wife Liz’s exciting update shared on Thursday (February 13), which they revealed during an appearance on ITV’s Lorraine. Speaking to host Lorraine Kelly, they gave viewers an insight into the lambing process and stood by, full of anticipation, to discover on live TV whether their sheep were expecting.
Lorraine: Kelvin Fletcher and wife Liz share family update
Kelvin cheekily quipped that twins were the “ideal scenario” for them, not just because it lowers risks and leads to an “easy life”, but also jokingly referencing how lucky they felt that twins” run in the family”, after having welcomed their own twins in 2022.
The nail-biting moment arrived as the couple started scanning their sheep, with Liz admitting to those tuning in: “It’s the most nail biting scan of our lives”. Their anxiety turned to pure joy when it emerged that the first sheep scanned was going to have twins, erupting in happiness as they exclaimed: “Yes, twins!”
The good news continued when the second sheep was found to be carrying a single lamb.
