99 To Beat fans eagerly sat down on Saturday night for the second episode of Ryan and Adam Thomas‘ 99 To Beat on ITV – and they all had the same comment. The show kicked off with 100 contestants last Saturday, all hoping to emerge victorious after a series of mini games.

During tonight’s episode there were 86 contestants left as the numbers slowly dropped. During the first task, the contestants were asked to guess the weight of llamas. In another hilarious task, the contestants were asked to loop penne pasta onto spaghetti, using just their mouths.

However, it wasn’t the contestants fans noticed, but in fact hosts, brothers Ryan and Adam Thomas. It’s the first time the duo have presented a gameshow together, and everyone seems to be comparing them to original TV duo, Ant and Dec.

As soon as the second instalment started, fans took to X, formerly known as Twitter to comment on the presenting duo. “I prefer Ryan and Adam to Ant and Dec already #99ToBeat,” announced one. Another agreed: “Love them as hosts!”

However, another wasn’t so sure as they penned: “Ant and Dec from wish #99ToBeat.” Just like Ant and Dec, the duo are visibly passionate about their show, as they can be seen cheering on fellow contestants, including Derek from backstage.

The two can’t hide their excitement and nerves as they’re often seen jumping up and down and hugging one another. Ryan and Adam aren’t the only brothers in the family, as their sibling Scott Thomas is known for his stints in Love Island.

Although Scott isn’t presenting the show with them, the duo teased an appearance from their younger brother during an interview on This Morning.

The show, which many have compared to Squid Game is already popular in various countries including the Netherlands, Germany, Norway, Poland, Sweden, Vietnam, France and Italy and it’s now hoping to make it’s mark in the UK.

Speaking at the time of the show being announced, Adam and Ryan gushed: “It’s new, it’s fresh, it’s fun and we can’t wait for people to see it!

“It really is the ultimate family show, and so we couldn’t be more excited to be hosting it together, as a family.

“It’s a dream come true for us. We can already imagine people at home playing these games with their families as it’s fun/silly/competitive & heartfelt.”
