New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft and the team’s former quarterback Tom Brady have teamed up for a new commercial on combating racism.
Kraft’s Foundation to Combat Antisemitism released the commercial, which will play during the Super Bowl on Sunday, called “No Reason to Hate.”
“I’m worried about what’s going on in the country,” Kraft told USA TODAY Sports. “With the ad, I’m trying to show how we can be better.”
The foundation previously had a Super Bowl spot during last year’s game; the commercial, called “Silence,” featured Dr. Clarence B. Jones, a civil rights leader who helped draft Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I Have a Dream” speech.

The 30-second commercial features Brady and rapper Snoop Dogg naming several common reasons people hate each other, from looking to talking differently.
“The reasons for hate are as stupid as they sound,” the screen reads.
The rapper adds, “I hate that things are so bad that we have to do a commercial about it,” before the pair walk away from the screen.
In a statement to USA TODAY Sports, Brady said he is “honored to stand with” the Foundation to Combat Antisemitism.
“This Super Bowl, football is on my mind, but so is something even bigger – building a world where hate has no place. The No Reason to Hate campaign isn’t just a message; it’s a movement. I’m proud to be a part of it, and I hope you’ll join us,” the statement said.
Snoop Dogg said in part in a statement to USA TODAY Sports: “It doesn’t matter what your background is, what you look like or where you come from, hate is never the answer. It’s time we all start seeing it for what it is and together, take a stand against hate.”
How much is a Super Bowl commercial?
A 30-second commercial during Super Bowl 59 costs around $7 million, according to USA TODAY Ad Meter.
