Pop star and sensation Taylor Swift is in the news and the reason is her decision to let go off her sprawling purchase- a private jet Dassault Falcon 900 that reportedly cost her $ 40 million. The American singer was under scrutiny for carbon emissions and multiple issues after which she decided to make the move.

What happened?

Back in 2002, Swift topped the list of the worst offenders of private jet CO2 emissions that also had the likes of Elon Musk, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Bill Gates in the same list.

Jeff Colgan, a political science professor, spoke about Swift and said, “It’s striking that Ms Swift gets so much of the outrage when private jet customers are overwhelmingly men over 50. The focus really should be on a broader class of people..”
