have chosen to miss an upcoming royal wedding so that they do not have to deal with any awkward encounters.

There is going to be a big date in the calendars of most royals in June as Hugh Grosvenor, the 7th Duke of Westminster, will be getting married.

Despite the expectation of an appearance, Harry and Meghan may not make the trip over thanks to the frosty relationship with Prince William.

Harry and Meghan will skip the wedding

Royal biographer Tom Quinn has spoken to the Daily Mirror and believes that William is set to attend the ceremony in Chester, Cheshire, as Grosvenor is the godfather to his young son Prince George.

Quinn also claims that Harry and Meghan won’t be in attendance.

“Harry declined on the grounds that it would just be ‘too awkward’.

“But there are other reasons. Harry knows he can’t attend without Meghan and Meghan has absolutely insisted she won’t be there.”

Originally, it was reported that the Sussexes were not invited, it later emerged that they were but decided not to accept the invitation because it would be too awkward.

Speaking to Page Six at the time, a source said: “Harry actually got a ‘save the date’ card a few months ago but called Hugh and said it would be too awkward if he and Meghan Markle attended, so he made his apologies and Hugh understood.”

Prince Harry is going to be in the United Kingdom shortly before the wedding because there will be an Invictus Games event in early May.
