The former GB News star made a scathing critique of Meghan’s new TV show on his podcast.

A heated exchange erupted between Good Morning Britain regular Narinder Kaur and Dan Wootton on social media after the journalist launched a scathing attack on Meghan Markle’s new Netflix series, With Love, Meghan.

Wootton, who dedicated a segment of his Outspoken podcast to tearing apart the show, claimed he had “given up over four hours of my life to watch With Love, Meghan so you don’t have to” before branding it “the worst TV series ever made.”

He even went as far as to accuse Netflix of “producing an atrocity” and vowed to expose the “tissues of lies” he believes the Duchess of Sussex has spun.

Sharing a clip from his podcast episode on social media, he doubled down, tweeting: “Meghan Markle’s shock new lie as we review the WORST TV show in history – Netflix’s With Love, Meghan – so you don’t have to watch it yourself.” However, Narinder Kaur wasn’t having any of it, and jumped in to defend the Duchess.

She responded: “Lies, Dan. I’ve just watched four episodes and without any doubt, Meghan comes across as thoughtful, kind, welcoming, smart, caring and bloody hardworking in that kitchen. She radiates with beauty, and actually – I genuinely didn’t expect to like her this much! She’s a star.”

A clearly incredulous Wootton hit back, demanding: “ARE YOU SERIOUS!? Like actually serious? Give me one example of how she comes across that way… x.”

But Kaur stood firm, responding: “Yes. Really. In fact, I was going to WhatsApp you and say, ‘Come on Dan, she’s so damn likeable.’ With her friends – she shows sooo much care, she thinks of what THEY like, what their kids would like, she’s so wary of making them feel welcome, she for sure loves cooking and cleaning! No airs and graces. Harry is extremely lucky.”

Netflix viewers have also been weighing in on the eight-part series, which follows Meghan as she invites celebrity friends to visit her at a stunning California estate.

While hosting she shares tips about cooking and gardening, while opening up about her upbringing and life with Prince Harry.

The show has divided opinion, with some branding it “boring” but others praising its “soothing” and “feel good” nature.

One fan raved: “Okay, I’m not even 30 minutes into episode 1 and I can honestly say #WithLoveMeghan is the best. I needed this show. With all the drama happening here in the US, it’s great to watch a fun, relaxing, peaceful, joyful, informative, great show. Thank you Meghan and Netflix.”

Another viewer echoed the sentiment, calling it “light and warm” and applauding Meghan’s “genuine care” for her guests.

The series, which was produced by the Duchess herself, blends “practical how-tos and candid conversation with friends, new and old”, according to its official synopsis. It had been slated for release in January but was delayed due to the Los Angeles wildfires.
