Former Cincinnati Bengals star wide receiver Chad Ochocinco claims to have the “script” for Super Bowl 59 next year.

During the latest edition of the “Nightcap” show that Ochocinco co-hosts with Shannon Sharpe and Gilbert Arenas, the former Bengal suggested that the NFL’s “script” for next year calls for the Cincinnati Bengals to play in Super Bowl 59 (h/t Tzvi Machlin of The Spun):

“Where did Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase went to school? You see where I’m going? These are the kinds of stories the NFL likes and loves…LSU. You’re from Ohio, but you played your collegiate bowl at LSU. Super Bowl is in New Orleans!”
Die-hard football fans throughout the season came across countless social media posts and conspiracy theories about the NFL being “scripted” and “rigged.” No matter which Super Bowl matchup you get, there will always be a crowd calling it fixed. And such was the case for the San Francisco 49ers-Kansas City Chiefs game this year.

The Bengals reached Super Bowl 56 two years ago, where they narrowly fell to Matthew Stafford’s Los Angeles Rams. Joe Burrow and company got back to the AFC Championship Game in 2022, but they fell to Patrick Mahomes and the eventual champion Chiefs.

Cincinnati entered 2023 as a popular pick to win Super Bowl 58, but their championship dreams were dashed when Burrow suffered a season-ending wrist injury in a November game against the Baltimore Ravens.

Super Bowl 59 will be held on Feb. 9, 2025 inside the New Orleans Saints’ home venue of the Caesars Superdome.
