Cameron Sutton is going to find it quite difficult to get himself on another NFL team after the Detroit Lions released him after they found out he was wanted for domestic battery by strangulation, which is a third-degree felony and could result in a prison term of up to five years.
Cameron Sutton had been wanted by police in Florida since last month before he finally turned himself in on Sunday night.
On Monday, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office released a video showing Cameron Sutton arriving at a jail in Tampa. They also took a picture and released his mug shot as well, via TMZ.
Many on social media couldn’t help but comment about the serious look on Sutton’s face:

The Detroit Lions announced last Thursday that cornerback Cameron Sutton was released by the team. It came one day after the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office in Tampa issued a warrant for Sutton’s arrest on a charge of aggravated battery-domestic violence.
With him struggling last year and not being a top player at his cornerback position, Sutton could be facing the fact of losing his career based on how these charges play out.
His charge is a third-degree felony and carries up to a five-year prison sentence.
