Taylor Swift and a private jet.
A student who tracks the private jets of celebrities says Taylor Swift’s lawyers have threatened to sue him for sharing her flight information online.

The tracking amounts to “stalking”, Swift’s lawyers claim.

In 2022, Swift topped the list of celebrities with the highest private jet CO2 emissions, according to digital marketing firm Yard. The organization found that her jet emissions were about 1,185 times more than the average person’s total annual emissions. She has been referred to as the “Carbon Emissions Queen” as a result.

Despite that, in 2023, Swift reportedly ranks pretty low on the list to the point where she is outside the top 30.

Travis Scott, Kim Kardashian, Elon Musk, Beyonce/Jay Z, and Bill Gates are top-5 on the list.

Fans took to the coments and went off on Swift being bashed as opposed to others who have done it much more than her:

Both Gates and Swift have defended their private jet usage by arguing they offset the emissions. Gates said he supports clean technology and other sustainability initiatives, according to the Associated Press.

In a statement to the AP, Swift’s publicist said “Taylor purchased more than double the carbon credits needed to offset all tour travel” before her tour began this year.

Taylor Swift is set to have a quick turnaround between her concert in Tokyo on Feb. 10 and the Super Bowl in Las Vegas on Feb. 11.

On Sunday, she is due to fly to Las Vegas to see her boyfriend play in the NFL Super Bowl, one day after her concert in Tokyo.
