Chris Brown has hit out at rapper Quavo slamming him in a new song and scathing that people ‘wish’ he had ‘died’ instead of his nephew Takeoff who was fatally gunned down outside a bowling alley

Chris Brown has dropped a scathing new diss track where he slams rapper Quavo.

The song – titled Weakest Link – sees the singer slam his rival as their feud continues with Chris delivering some brutal bars in the musical offering. Chris, 34, even suggests that his opponent should be dead with one line where he sings: “R.I.P. Takeoff, he the only real one, I got true respect. Crazy how when he died, everybody really wished it was you instead.”

Takeoff, Quavo’s nephew, was gunned down outside a bowling alley in Houston, Texas, in November 2022. The release is a response to Quavo’s latest tune Tender which sees him call out Chris for his history of domestic abuse. Chris titled the song after what he previously referred to as Quavo being in his rap group Migos.

The R’n’B star also refers to an incident at Fashion Week where he had a run-in with Quavo and suggests he had to resist the urge to beat him up. Chris then raises details of Quavo’s violent history as he references incidents including when he had a fight with Saweetie in an elevator in 2021.

Chris then goes on to refer to having sex with one of his exes while she was dating Quavo and to slam his own ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran. He raps: “You f**ked my ex-ho, that’s cool, I don’t give no f**k, lil n***a,’ he raps. ‘Cause I f**ked yo’ ex when you were still with her, b***h, I’m up.”

Whether the ex Chris is referring to is Saweetie or not is unclear, but it has given fans more insight into the beef between the two performers. Quavo sparked this retaliation after he referenced Chris assaulting his ex-girlfriend Rihanna in Tender. He raps: “You did the b***h wrong and now the b***h gone, she posted with a thug… Call the b***h phone, she won’t come home, don’t beat her up/It must be the drugs, need to cross out your plug.”

Quavo has been feuding with Chris since 2017
He then continues: “Tell me lil bro, what’s your issue?/It’s over a t**t/You said it’s bigger than that, but no, it is not/It’s cause I be digging in that, it got ’em hot/I’m giving respect but I know you not/Your b***h on my neck, your b***h at the spot.”

However, Tender was a reply to the song Freak off Chris’11:11 album. The collaboration with Lil Wayne, Tee Grizzley and Joyner Lucas sees him rap: “Okay, now f**kin’ my old b*** he ain’t gon’ make us equal. Sippin’ that 1942 ’cause I don’t do no Cuervo/Freak b***h, she like Casamigos, not the Migos.”
