Celebrity Big Brother 2025 kicked off last night (April 7), but it’s already surrounded by controversy — all thanks to Hollywood star Mickey Rourke, whose questionable behavior toward host AJ Odudu didn’t sit well with viewers
From the moment he stepped on stage, Mickey appeared far more interested in AJ than in entering the house. Wearing a sleek brown catsuit, AJ became the focus of Mickey’s lingering gaze — and things quickly got uncomfortable.
As he met AJ, Mickey’s eyes lit up. “You look good,” he remarked, grinning as he looked her up and down. He even tried to sneak a peek behind her, appearing to check out her figure. Viewers watched in disbelief as he twirled her around, placing his hand on her back and standing uncomfortably close.
AJ’s co-host Will Best issued a quick warning: “Careful, Mickey,” but the awkwardness escalated. AJ, trying to keep things professional, eventually had to tell him: “Stop looking at me!”
Even after the introductions wrapped, Mickey refused to head inside the house, instead lingering onstage to high-five the crowd and flirt some more. AJ and Will had to physically usher him toward the house entrance. “I wanna stay with you,” he said to AJ, still ogling her.
Though AJ maintained her composure, the damage was done. On Late and Live, comedian Alan Carr expressed his shock, while fans flooded social media with criticism — and warnings.
Viewers Call for Action
On X (formerly Twitter), fans didn’t hold back.
“Mickey getting cancelled before even entering the house for eye-[bleep]ing AJ??” one viewer posted.
“Ofcom, you need to investigate this kind of behaviour from any celebrity,” said another.
Speculation around Mickey’s future in the house is already intense.
“We give Mickey 48 hours before he’s asked to leave,” predicted one fan.
“This is surely a safeguarding issue… I give him 24 hours or less (I hope),” wrote another.
Others expressed deep concern that Mickey’s behavior could escalate in the house and called on ITV to intervene.
“Please keep Mickey away from AJ and all the women in that house,” pleaded a viewer.
While AJ brushed off the encounter with a smile, fans are still reeling from the uncomfortable exchange. With Mickey’s entrance making such a controversial splash, all eyes are on tonight’s episode (April 8, 9PM) to see what he’ll do next — and whether Big Brother will step in before things get worse.
