Count on the VMAs to bring the eye-popping moments.

Hip-hop star Cardi B was on stage to introduce Demi Lovato’s performance at the MTV Video Music Awards in LA when her dress started to, er, get away from her.

As the 24-year-old ‘Bodack Yellow’ rapper held the mic, her strapless pink gown slowly sunk lower and lower as nervous viewers waited for the seemingly inevitable nip slip to come.

But it didn’t!

Just as her Janet Jackson moment was about to occur, the camera panned away to two women in the audience with their jaws dropped to the floor.

“Give it up for Demi Lovato performing ‘Sorry Not Sorry’,” Cardi B confidently announced when the camera jumped back to her, safely clutching her left breast to hide the presumed slip.

And the internet was left baffled and intrigued by the whole ordeal.

Noted another, “I’m no nipple specialist- but just how low are Cardi B’s nipples? PS: We know you was tryna have a nip slip, girl. We see you. 😏”

Still others applauded the former exotic dancer’s quick save.

“Cardi B saving that nip slip was great. Lmaooo #VMAs 😂😂,” tweeted one.

The singer performed her hit ‘Bodack Yellow’ on the VMAs pre-show carpet wearing a different, more secure, ensemble.
