Dre Greenlaw is the sickest man on earth right now.

A major Super Bowl 2024 injury barely even happened on the field. 49ers stud linebacker Dre Greenlaw bizarrely injured himself as he was getting himself hyped to back on the field with the rest of the defense.

Trainers came to his aide as he was unable to put any pressure on his leg and he made his way to the bench. Eventually, Greenlaw was taken back to the locker room.

He was soon ruled out of the game, but that wasn’t the worst part.

It was later revealed that the team believes he suffered a torn Achilles.

Selected by San Francisco in the fifth round of the 2019 NFL draft, Greenlaw has been a staple for the 49ers defense. Until this injury, he had played in all defensive snaps in the two playoff games this postseason. He has nine tackles, one of them for loss, and he had two interceptions in the divisional round against the Green Bay Packers, including the game-sealing pick.

Now he may not be ready for the start of the 2024 season.
