The Kansas City Chiefs have reached an agreement on a new contract with Travis Kelce.

Kelce is now the NFL’s highest-paid tight end, according to a report from the NFL Network. The three-time Super Bowl-winning tight end, who is dating music icon Taylor Swift, has agreed to a two-year contract extension.

It will make him the highest-paid player in the league at his position.

“No more Champagne Problems: The #Chiefs and All-Pro and Pro Bowl TE Travis Kelce have agreed to terms on a new 2-year contract extension to make him the NFL’s highest-paid tight end, sources say. The deal was done by his long-time agent Mike Simon, now with @milkhoneysport,” NFL Network reporter Ian Rapoport shared on Monday.

Kelce, 34, had previously admitted that he knew he was underpaid.

“My managers and agents love to tell me how underpaid I am,” Kelce told Vanity Fair in 2023. “Any time I talk about wanting more money, they’re just like, ‘Why don’t you go to the Chiefs and ask them?’”

Kelce’s previous salary paid him an average of $14.3 per season. In 2023, his base salary was $11.25 million.

It’s safe to say he’s getting a big raise with his new contract.
