The Cincinnati Bengals have decided to shake up their running back room in the early stages of free agency.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Bengals have signed former Indianapolis Colts star running back Zack Moss to a two-year deal worth $8 million. That includes $4.525 million in cash for 2024.

In another move, the Bengals have released veteran Joe Mixon, Schefter added:

The Bengals were widely expected to release Mixon last year, but they wound up bringing the former Pro Bowler back for a seventh year. In releasing Mixon, the Bengals clear just over $6 million in salary cap space.

While Mixon heads to free agency. Moss now gets to star in an offense led by Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase. Moss had a career year for the Colts last season, rushing for 794 yards and five touchdowns to go along with 27 receptions for 192 yards and two touchdowns.
