Brad Pitt makes a lighting entry into James Gunn’s DCU through fan art.

In his extensive and acclaimed career in Hollywood, Brad Pitt has left an indelible mark with several of his on-screen performances. However, one thing that the actor has yet to venture in is the superhero genre. While he did have a brief cameo as the Vanisher in Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool film series, he has not taken a full-fledged superhero role.
And fans are eager to see him donning the title of a DC or Marvel character. A digital creator envisioned what the actor would look like as the original Scarlett Speedster, aka The Flash, potentially in James Gunn’s DCU.

The Flash has been one of the most popular superheroes of DC Comics. So far, the character has been portrayed by several actors, including Grant Gustin and Ezra Miller. However, for the past few years, Brad Pitt has also become fans’ choice to take on the role of the DC superhero.

The actor has reportedly been in talks to don the title of Scarlett Speedster for a long time. And following the chain, a Twitter account has shared fan art by atlant.99 (Instagram), which re-imagines the Bullet Train star as Jay Garrick, the first character introduced as the Flash in comics.

The actor is seen in his classic look in a pair of jeans, a red jacket with a lightning bolt on it, and a silver kettle helmet. Over the years, the character has made several appearances in animation and live-action TV shows and had a brief cameo in the 2023 DC film The Flash.

Although no such plans have been revealed by the studio, fan-casting could possibly eventually result in Pitt getting a superhero role, perhaps under James Gunn’s DCU, following the release of the first film under the new DCU, Superman: Legacy.

Brad Pitt Almost Played Cable in Deadpool 2

In a recent interview with ComicBook.com, the Deadpool co-creator Rob Liefeld revealed that Brad Pitt was initially approached to portray Cable in the Deadpool sequel. When asked if the actor was considered for the role before Josh Brolin, he said,

“I know for 100% fact that was true… They did previews, and David Leitch had a very special relationship doing stunt work with [Pitt]. What people don’t know is that was very early early on. So when they knew they weren’t going in that direction, they went down several others.”

The film’s director, David Leitch, has earlier shared that the actor turned down the offer due to scheduling conflicts. However, he agreed to a cameo as Vanisher in the sequel. Liefeld also shared that it was Brolin’s wife who convinced him to read for Cable’s part.
