“This is for my own curiosity,” Redick said.

“The aura of MJ at that time, your rookie year. He’s coming off two championships. He’s coming off the dream team. He’s at the peak of MJ.

“What is it like just being on the floor with him, man?”

Shaq could only describe the interaction as if he met God while playing basketball.

“I don’t know what God looks like. It’s like seeing God,” Shaq said.

“Because the stuff that he did on TV, and then you see it in real life, it’s like, ‘Oh my God, this is really real.'”

Shaq explained that even with his best effort he couldn’t stop Jordan from scoring on him.

“One of the first plays of the game, and in my mind I was like ‘I’m not f***ing getting dunked on,'” Shaq said.

“So I tried to meet him early, the f***er slipped by me, I bumped him and he still did that s*** and he laid it up off the [backboard] and the crowd went crazy.

“I was like ‘F***, this guy’s real

Fans had split opinions on Shaq’s thoughts about Jordan and shared on social media.

“Bron stans hate these stories,” one fan said.

“This is the softest era in nba history MJ was beating mf off pure aura alone lmao,” another fan said.

“No one talks about Lebron like this,” a third fan said.

“Top 10 player ever talkin bout Mike like this but people say bron the goat,” a fourth fan said.

I don’t know what God looks like. It’s like seeing God.

Shaq On Michael Jordan

Jordan and Shaq were in the league together for seven years while LeBron James was in the league at the same time as Shaq for eight years.

Shaq has also given praise to LeBron, even going as far as to call him the best ever.

“He’s got four rings and he becomes the highest scorer in the NBA history,” Shaq said in 2021.

“He’s the best ever, ain’t nothing you can say.”
