Amanda Holden made a cheeky return to Instagram hours after Sharon Osbourne unleashed a furious tirade about her.

A row between the two women kicked off when Amanda decided to speak about Sharon and Louis Walsh’s recent appearance on Celebrity Big Brother and their digs at former boss Simon Cowell, who Amanda still works with. Britain’s Got Talent judge Amanda complained: “I hated seeing certain people in a reality show dissing Simon – he’s the person who’s given them all the chances, given them a lot of money and a lifestyle they probably wouldn’t have had.

‘It’s bitter and pathetic. It was like Cinderella with her two sisters in the background – just stabby, stabby, stabby,” she said.

Outspoken Sharon did not take the comments lying down when she heard, and responded by furiously taking to social media to brand Amanda an ‘ill informed sycophantic’ and ‘crass and clueless’ in a lengthy rant.

In an open letter addressed to Amanda, Sharon – who even went so far as to tag Amanda directly in her post – penned: “Amanda, I am responding to your interview with the Daily Mail on April 12th, I respect the fact that you feel the need to defend your good friend and employer, Simon Cowell, who is also your husband’s employer, or so I’ve read. However, a couple of your statements regarding myself are factually incorrect.”

Sharon proceeded to list her various achievements in showbiz as she told Amanda she was ‘missing the point.’ “No disrespect to Simon Cowell, but he NEEDED ME for musical credibility on X Factor and I delivered for him and together all of us made a great team,” fired Sharon.

She went on: “The truth is, you don’t know me, Amanda or any of my close friends. You know nothing about my family history in the music industry, my achievements, the artists I have worked with, the shows that I’ve produced and my global celebrity. Unlike you, the brand of Sharon Osbourne is known worldwide. There are many countries that I could work in if I choose to, however, I don’t have the ambition or time to do so.”

Sharon then boasted: “Our worlds are totally different. I have been blessed with an amazing lifestyle throughout my entire life. Before you were born, I was living in a mansion in Beverly Hills and continue to do so today and continue to have my country estate in England as well. But there is something you should know. I never discuss money, lifestyle or positions of power. I find it to be classless and crude.”

As Sharon’s epic rant went viral, Amanda made a brave return to social media.

She first posted a paparazzi photo of herself coyly looking over her shoulder as she headed into the Heart FM studios earlier in the week. Dressed in a blue power suit and shades Amanda appeared to hint she was keeping a watchful eye as she made her social media reply.

The mum-of-two then followed this up with a second post of her enjoying a family day out with her parents and youngest daughter.

A spokeperson for Amanda also told the Mirror: “Amanda is aware of Sharon’s incredible career but, just like her, Amanda will always defend those close to her.”

Amanda had caused a stir this week with her antics after posing nude in the Heart FM building for a life drawing class.

She then defended her daughter Lexi’s’ bikini photos after some mum-shaming from fans Amanda said she raised her daughters in a ‘body positive’ household and was happy they were confident in their own skin.
