Rylan Clark has shared an exciting career update with social media followers. The TV personality boasts a large following of 2.3 million followers and is active across his platforms.

The most recent update uploaded by the BBC Radio presenter was a screenshot of the Bafta nominations for ‘Factual Entertainment’ with his show being a nominee.

Rob and Rylan’s Grand Tour is up for the prestigious award. Rylan wrote “I can’t believe I’m saying this, we’re nominated for a @bafta thank you so much for watching.” Robert Rinder, sometimes known as Judge Rinder, is a British criminal barrister and television personality.

Rylan and Robert took to our screens last year when they travelled around Italy together for BBC show Rob and Rylan’s Grand Tour, where they followed in the footsteps of 19th century romantic poet Lord Byron and other Grand Tourists. The TV stars highlighted the art, culture, bad behaviour and life-changing exploits of historic Brits abroad.

The show has been nominated alongside: ‘In Vogue: The 90s’ (Vogue Studios, Disney+), ‘Race Across The World’ (BBC One) and ‘Sort Your Life Out’ (BBC One).

The former X Factor contestant has been inundated with support from friends and fans after the huge announcement. Loose Women panellist Ruth Langsford commented “FANTASTIC! So well deserved….winners already in my eyes @robrinder.”

Others wrote “You and Rob are great. Good luck” and “So amazing. And “totally deserved. Wonderful programme, gorgeous people.”

Rob was also among the comments as he left a heartfelt message for his co-star. He wrote “There is nothing on this earth more to be prized than true friendship.’ Well done you clever, kind brilliant human.” The response received a number of likes from fans of the two.

It has been an exciting start to 2025 for Rylan. He will be playing a role in the much-loved BBC show Doctor Who. The 36-year-old star will play himself on the show, it will be a Eurovision special of the BBC sci-fi series that will air to coincide with the real-life song contest in May.

The 36-year-old will act as the host of the Interstellar Song Contest. Rylan spoke of his pride at landing a role in a programme that he is a huge fan of. After the announcement of his casting, Rylan said in a statement: “As a massive Whovian, getting the call to be in Doctor Who was a call I’ve always dreamed of getting.

“This episode is all my favourite things about the show with an added song contest set in space. It really is a dream come true. I can’t wait for everyone to see it. It is going to be out of this world.”

‌The BBC Radio 2 presenter’s guest role was revealed when a trailer for the new series aired yesterday, March 2. He took to Instagram to share his excitement. On Instagram, Rylan wrote: “I’ve kept this secret for nearly a year…dream come true..”
